Three entries

All James Baroud hard shell roof tents are fully equipped and feature large two-layer entrance doors with mosquito nets on three sides

Zippers that open on both sides allow flexible opening of entrances

Open and rolled up doors can be secured using Velcro strips

For pleasant ventilation, the doors can be opened slightly at the top only, e.g.

Specially designed caps allow, depending on the tent model, this opening even in the event of rain

All doors have a Velcro strip on the bottom edge and can therefore be completely closed

Thus, neither rain nor animals can penetrate it and closing the roof shell is simplified because nothing protrudes.

The Grand Raid XL tent, which opens from both sides, also has another closable, rain-protected ventilation opening at the front, also with a mosquito net.

Tent fabric

Competition, with simple and inexpensive rivets

James Baroud also supplies complete tent fabrics as spare parts for tents over ten years old

Thus, a tent fabric damaged, for example by an act of vandalism, can be easily replaced by the user.

The aluminum profile with the rod rail is attached to the lower roof shell in such a way that the tent fabric is placed on the outside and rainwater cannot enter the roof tent due to of its construction

Weather resistant

All zippers have waterproof seals on the outside

All seams are double, the sewing threads used expand upon first contact with water and permanently seal the stitches

The tents are designed so that water does not penetrate, even in heavy rain, and withstand winds of up to 120 km/h

The all-round elastic not only makes it easier to close the tent, but also keeps the canvas under tension when open, preventing annoying and noisy flapping in windy conditions

Rain-retaining awnings are also designed so that they do not flap in the wind

Interior equipment

The comfortable 28 kg/m³ high-density foam mattress is covered with an easily removable and washable cotton cover

The mattress is cut in the corners so as not to interfere with the closing of the hinges

For practical reasons, the hinges themselves are covered with a fabric cover

So nothing can get dirty or stuck.

The roof shell is covered with textile insulation for thermal and sound insulation and is equipped with a large storage net

Three small mesh pockets can be positioned as desired in the tent using a Velcro fastener

Practical for cell phone or glasses.

The Grand Raid XL tent is equipped with an LED flashlight rechargeable by cigarette lighter plug or mains plug

This can be easily attached to the Velcro strip that surrounds the upper roof shell.
